After serving as a Naval Officer onboard the USS Downes (FF-1070), a frigate, in the South Pacific, Tracy
Murphy attended Fordham Law School from which he graduated in 1996 with a Juris Doctor. Upon
graduation, he took up a job with NIS Investment Corp. living and working in Russia for several years. He
then worked as Associate General Counsel with the investment firm of Stonehenge Capital, Inc. in New York.
He joined the law firm of Connors & Sullivan, P.C. as an Associate Attorney in 2000 where he remained until
he started his own practice in 2003. Since then he has focused on commercial and consumer debt
collection and bankruptcy law. He is admitted to the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Federal District Courts
for the State of New York. Tracy Murphy is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American
